Data Controller Representative Services in Turkey

Similar to Art. 27 of the GDPR, Law on Protection of Personal Data w. no 6698 requires Foreign Controllers ("Data Controllers not established in Turkey that process personal data regarding data subjects located in Turkey") to appoint a representative in Turkey. The representative serves as point of contact for the supervisory authority and for data subjects in matters related to the processing of personal data.

DSAR and Data Subject Rights Management
When we are appointed as a representative, we provide you with an A-Z solution to review, report and timely manage DSARs and other data subject right requests.
Contact Person
It is required to designate a Turkish natural person as a Contact Person with the DPA. We will appoint one of our seasoned employees as the contact person for your company with the DPA.
VERBIS Registration
It is required to register with VERBIS by December 31th, 2021. Having successfully registered dozens of foreign controllers to date, we will take over the whole process and finalize the registration for you.
How to appoint us as your Representative
Our appointment process is simple and straightforward:
1- Download and fill in the necessary information in the attached Appointment Letter.
2- Notarize and apostille the Appointment Letter in the place of signing.
3- Send the pdf version of the appointment letter to us, followed by the original.
Once we receive the signed documents from you, we will notarize the documents in Turkey and apply to the DPA for acting as the Representative. The process takes 2-4 business days as of receiving the signed documents.
